Philo-Sophia
Two divine sparks come into contact
with one, another
One says to the other:
“I am having painful difficulty trying to
get home - do you know the way?”
The other says:
“I believe I do, more so now than
when I was not so near to you”
And the spark whispers of
a long journey, of trials and obstacles
of darkness, great heights and great lows
of illusions, suffering and strife
And the first spark replies:
“So long as we can light this road
together, I know that our pain will be eased”
And for a while, they seemed to breathe
as if they had come from the fire of passion itself
as if they were dying
Then the sparks hummed electric
joined in sound and love
and things beyond the senses
and were free.
If you haven’t already: Go see it. Do it now. Can’t do it now? Make plans for tomorrow.
I laughed an uncountable amount of times, clapped once (could have clapped several times, but the audience was too stuck up to be with me on that one) and cried 3 times.
Okay, okay, 4 times.
Also, for the sake of relevance, there’s some BEAUTIFUL faith related dialogue in there that meshes perfectly with Thelema. Thelemites, let me know if you catch it (and if you agree)
Also Olivia Wilde. Also Daniel Craig. Some damn good lookin’ people, and really good acting.
The dialogue is flawless, the special effects are great, the action is great, the scenery is gorgeous and the character development is exceptional.
Best action movie I’ve seen since Lord of the Rings, and the best western I’ve seen since I used to watch the Rifleman and Clint Eastwood movies with my mom.
Post with 1 note
“You should read The Antichrist” - Tom
“Is that Nietzsche? Man, God Love ‘im” - Me
Then, I laughed at the irony.
